Zoe and Gary
I knew I wanted sunflowers and I knew I wanted wild flowers and I knew I wanted whites and blues and yellows and lots of green, after that I was a bit stuck. Rachel said that was a very good start. She studied my dress, my style, my colours for the wedding, the venue, the church, what my bridesmaids were wearing etc. She studied all those things as if it were her own wedding. She designed and made all the displays for the church and the vases for the tables at the reception, the button holes, the bridesmaids bouquets (and there were loads of bridesmaids)…and my bouquet that still makes me cry when I see photos of it (and when I first saw it all I could say was “it’s bigger than I thought” because I was so blown away). She was an absolute star to have around in the pre-wedding madness (especially with a family my size) and the flowers were some of the prettiest and most imaginative I have ever seen at any wedding. Everyone commented on how fantastic they were. But most of all Rachel managed to capture an essence of me, and my now husband, in all the flowers she put together and that is something really truly special that I will remember for the rest of my life.
